  • Step 2: Press 2 from the given options to block SBI Debit Card.
  • Step 3: Next, enter the last 5 digits of your account number to block the card.

Note: Once your card is successfully blocked, a confirmation will be sent to your registered mobile number through SMS.

From your registered mobile number, text 567676 to ‘Block the last four digits of the card’.

Note: Once your card blocking request is accepted, an SMS notification will be sent to your registered mobile number. The SMS will contain your ticket number and closing date and time.

How to block SBI ATM card through Net Banking.

Account-holders can block SBI ATM cards online using SBI online services. Here are some simple steps to follow:

  • Step 1: Visit
  • Step 2: Log in to SBI net banking portal by providing your username and password details.
  • Step 3: Go to the “eService” tab and click on “ATM Card Service Option”.
  • Step 4: Click on the Block ATM Card option.
  • Step 5: Select the account associated with the debit card that the account holder wants to block.
  • Step 6: The account holder will be able to see the list of all active and blocked cards. This menu will display the first and last four digits of the ATM card.
  • Step 7: SBI account holder has to select the card he/she wants to block, set the reason for its “lost” or “stolen” and click on deposit. Check and confirm the required details.
  • Step 8: Select Status to confirm the request. The account holder can either select the OTP number or can use the profile password.
  • Step 9: Enter OTP or Profile Password and click on Confirm.

Once the SBI ATM Debit Card is blocked, the account holder will receive the ticket number through SMS notification. The account holder should ensure to save the ticket number for future reference.

The account holder can also check the pre-closed or inactive ATM card through SBI net banking portal. It can help them to check their ATM card status by simply logging on to SBI net banking portal.
